Lost and Found

This is the first part of my Lost and Found page. I await your comments so that I may proceed.

My found objects are a clothing label, Malaysian money of very little value, a key, a broken butter hair clip, a Starbucks label, a button, a little tag with Wishing Stars written on it, a money exchange receipt, a rope handle from a shopping bag, and an arrow embellishment.

The arrow is pointing to '100%' since that is what I want to focus on giving. The key symbolises the opening of new opportunities, the butterfly is for emerging and moving on to better things, and I love the thought of wishing on a star. Starbucks coffee is absolutely essential to my day, and the money exchange receipt reminds me of my trip to see friends and family in the UK last week. Underneath the clothing label, on the money, I have written "far away places" and stuck the work "ambient" on too. These are reminders to me that I have places to go and that I must keep my attention on everything around me to make the most of any opportunities that might be around.

I am late with this due to a week in the UK to visit my mum so I hope I am not too late to mingle and comment tomorrow.

You can see my stuff in the photo section of the yahoo site. I don't have any soul journalling to show yet so I have posted some altered book pages etc.

Actually, looking at this, I can see it is going to be difficult to make a comment since the quality of the scan is awful! No idea what I am doing wrong...

Welcome to Soul Journal - I am actually fairly new to the group myself. Your pages are looking wonderful so far. I love that your elements have a meaning, I just put elements that appealed to me, but really had no particular meaning. I look forward to seeing the rest of your pages. This is a wonderful group and I hope we can all get to know each other better along the way as we experience this journey together. ~HUGZ~

You are off and running! I love your commitment - 100%. I'm with you. I've made changes in my life so I can commit to my journey and to share it with others.

Your page is gorgeous. I love the colors the interesting elements and the thoughtfulness that went into it.

I'm impressed to learn that you are a single mother of so many children. I am a single mother of one. I commend you on finding time for you!

You are a dear, dear soul sister and I'm so happy we have met!

I can't wait to see more from you!

the colors are gorgeous on your pages.
i like that you have meaning behind the elements you placed there.
in the end of the exercise i found the real message i was striving for and the elements i chose had nothing to do with the end result.
it is like i didn't quite get it until i put some thought into what i was doing
you placed the 'thought' from the get go...and i admire that.
you give 100% and it shows through.

I so love the color; i enlarged your pic and found so much inspiration in your journal pages. What struck me was the girl label the outline of the little girl in white. It reminded me of the orphans/lost children in the world. Your chosen embellishments are wonderful, it shows how thoughtful and caring a person you are. I am truly looking forward to being in this group. I have filled journals from years gone by but not with art in them. Yours are such encouragement. Keep it up!!

I love the color of your pages, very textured and rich looking. And I too love that your elements have a meaning. I work in a similar way in that my elements have to relate to the theme I've chosen.

I'm interested to see what your lost and found items are and if your elements relate to the theme or if they are meaningful but unrelated. Either way you go, I think it will turn out great.
